WHITE WHITES

Okay so I know I already told some of you, but I just wanted to blog about it to remind you and tell you again....

For really WHITE WHITES:

Equal parts of Dawn soap and Hydrogen peroxide.

That's it.

For tougher stains scrub it on with a toothbrush.  I soaked our garments in 1 cup of the mixture and enough water to cover all the clothes and it helped a ton!

SO SO happy I learned this trick cause it was awesome!!!

Works on all clothing.  Works safely on colors also.  (try it on armpit stains, oil, grease, anything really!!)

Cleaning tip #2:

If you have ANY of that gross build up around your sinks, tubs or anything similar all you need is vinegar.
Wet a paper towel with vinegar and then place the paper towel over the build up.  Let it sit.  (works best if you have vinegar in a spray bottle)  Spray the paper towel periodically for the next 20-30 min or so.  I scrubbed mine with a toothbrush in between just to really get it off.  Viola!!  That's it.  It will be sparkeling clean, just like new!!

Oh my gosh just writing this made me so excited to go clean my house.  Too bad I'm at work.  We should get points for cleaning.  I really like cleaning.

Happy cleaning everyone!!!

Seriously. So good. So easy!

Okay are you ready for one of the easiest dinners you'll ever make??? Oh, and it is yum yum yummy! Ingredients: -3 or 4 chicken breast -1/4 cup Parmesan cheese -1/8 cup mayo -1/8 cup sour cream -italian bread crumbs (I just used plain and added garlic salt, pepper, etc) Pre heat oven to 425. Lay chicken breast flat on cookie sheet. (I cut mine in half or thirds only cause I prefer all my chicken to be in smaller strips). Mix Parmesan, mayo and sour cream together then spread over the top of chicken. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top covering chicken. (thin layer). Cook for 20-30 min until chicken is done. That's it!!! The first time I made it I used all mayo cause that's what the recipe said but the 2nd time I wanted to make it less fatty and did sour cream and it was way better! I bet you could try all sour cream too if you wanted or even Greek yogurt?!? Goes great with lots of different sides! Yum!! Try it and let me know what you think!!! Just make sure to eat it before 8:00pm!! ;)

hello Chinese girl...

I need to start this out by reminding us all of that one time the little boy walked up to Bone and said, "Helloooo Chinese girl!" hahaha...

The other night I made baked sweet and sour chicken.  http://pinterest.com/pin/160370436701021095/  You can re-pin it here if you'd like.

I thought it was fairly easy and really YUMMY!  Loo, I bet you could try this with tofu too..I think it would be delish!

Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe:
(Recipe from Life as a Lofthouse)

Chicken:
3-4 boneless chicken breasts
salt & pepper, to taste
1 cup cornstarch
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup canola oil (I just used veggie oil.)

Sweet and Sour Sauce:
3/4 cup sugar
4 tbs ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tbs soy sauce
1 tsp garlic salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Rinse your chicken breasts in water and then cut into cubes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip chicken into the cornstarch to coat then dip into the eggs. Heat your 1/4 cup oil in a large skillet and cook your chicken until browned but not cooked through. Place the chicken in a 9x13 greased baking dish. Mix all of your sweet and sour sauce ingredients in a bowl with a whisk and then pour evenly over the chicken. Bake for one hour and during the baking process you will need to turn the chicken every 15 minutes.

Curtiss and I both loved it and we will be making it again for sure!!!

current playlist

I thought it would be fun to share some of the songs all my family is listening to. Like all the time. These are all by Fun (We Are Young) and are probably old news, but just in case you haven't heard them. :)

The boys are constantly requesting we listen to these songs
(And just in case you're like me, listen to them once (or part of them) and you'll think they're a little odd and then come back to them a day or two later and you just may like them a lot more than you thought you would. ;)

So what songs are you listening to most right now?

I'd love to add some new songs to our mix. Especially some new country ones. Although the boys would strongly disagree on that.

Baked Chicken Bacon Ranch Taquitos

 I found this recipe here

These were pretty tasty. The older boys ate more than I did, so that's saying something. Her recipe seemed like it'd make a ton and since I hadn't tried them yet, I cut it in half and that made about 14 still. She does mention that they work as freezer meals, so you could use her quantities and stick a bunch in the freezer for meals later on.

Baked Chicken Bacon Ranch Taquitos

Ingredients:
4 oz cream cheese, softened (I used Neufchatel cheese)
6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled (my new favorite way to cook bacon is in the oven!)
2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
1 (1 oz) packet dry Ranch Dressing mix (here is a recipe for a homemade Ranch Dressing mix)
1 cup Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded (I used more, probably like 1 and 1/2 cups)
3-4 Tablespoons green onion, chopped (I didn't use these)
12 (6-inch) flour tortillas (the quantity just depends on how full you fill them)
Salt
Non-stick cooking spray

Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Cover a large cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.

Mix together cream cheese, chicken, bacon, cheese, and green onions. Add in about 1/3 of the dry Ranch dressing mix and taste- add more if you want more of a Ranch taste. (It's hard to know how much you're adding in, but I think I did about 1/3 and it didn't have too much of a ranch taste, so I'm not sure how necessary it is, unless you want to add more and have a big ranch taste. Next time I make them I'll probably leave this out completely and see if anyone misses it.) Mix well. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture into a flour tortilla and roll it up.

Place taquito seam-side down on the baking sheet. Repeat about 12 times (I had to use two baking sheets). Once finished, spray the tops of the taquitos with non-stick cooking spray (or you could lightly brush some olive oil on them) and sprinkle with salt (I used Kosher salt, the bigger granules and really liked it for this).

Place pan in oven and bake for 15-20 minutes (or until edges and tops are golden, mine started getting golden more around 10).
